Rufous-bellied Niltava (Niltava sundara) - Like other niltavas, the male is brilliantly coloured, whereas the female is drab brown overall. The male is bright blue with an orange belly, while the female is brown with a white throat strap and a small blue crescent around her neck. Female is very similar to other niltavas, medium in size between Little and Large niltavas, and has stronger warm tones on the wings and tail than the Fujian Niltava. Active in the middle and upper layers of broadleaf and mixed hill forests, where it frequently associates with other species in mixed flocks. Produces a series of high, piercing metallic whistles.
