Hey Little Monsters Happy Monday welcome back to ClevverMusic. As you know, Lady Gaga took over GMA this morning to debut her brand new video for first ARTPOP Single Applause . Gaga showed up in a sexy white dress, white bra, new blonde bob and her clear face mask we've seen in ARTPOP promo photos. Mother Monster pushed a big red button while standing on an NYC rooftop which prompted the huge screens in Times Square to play the artful Applause video for the first time. Ok, let's just put this out there in the universe: we're obsessed with the video. The uber artistic Applause music video shot by photographers Inez and Vinoodh is an ode to Gaga's obsession with transformation. We see black and white images of Gaga rolling around on a bed, billowing in a couture white sheet, sprouting wings and more all while singing to her new track. The video is art in the truest sense: progressive fashion, daring poses, and tons of nods to the art world. We see Gaga do her best Marilyn Monroe, sit in a large top hat, and show off her album cover look with smeared face paint. And one of our favorite parts is all the animalistic references, we see Gaga with a sparkly horse tail, as a swan, and in a gorgeous sea shell bra outfit. One of my favorite looks in the video is her hand bra that makes it look like someone is touching her from behind... but why does that remind me of a Madonna look? Hmm? And did we mention Gaga is dancing again for the first time since having hip surgery? Proving she is 100% back to normal folks. But we are not going to say anything else about the video, we want your thoughts on it below in the comments. But before you go, Gaga revealed on Good Morning America after seeing her video premiere in Times Square it was a dream come true being there. In her interview on GMA before the video premiere Gaga announced she will be opening the MTV VMAs this weekend and talked about her LM fans, I thought about nothing but my fans every minute since that tour ended... That was the hardest part, not seeing the fans, not performing, not playing the music. We also loved that in the interview she explained the APPLAUSE album cover face paint was an ode to the jester who lives for the applause she said, I took my hands and I smudged the makeup down my face like tears, and I began to cry while I was singing... not that I live for attention, but I live for making them happy. And we 100% believe that Gaga. And we are dying for the VMAs on August 25th to come so we can see Gaga get that Applause once again! And if Gaga was able to be nominated for Video Of the Year at this year's show, she would totally win, am I right?
