It’s a bad day to be brush- I’m going to mow this overgrown property with a CAT BRX318 industrial brush cutter. • It has four hardened steel blades mounted to a 900-pound spinning blade carrier. • This brush cutter powered with a new CAT 265 just wants to eat. • I couldn’t believe how fast it chewed through material. • This property hadn’t been mowed in years - it was so rewarding to see it cleaned up. • The landowner was happy with the results, and I had a ton of fun doing the work. • The 318 can handle up to 8” material, you can see here how it cut these cedars down with ease. • Next, I took it out to our land where we’re getting ready to build a house. • There’s no brush but tons of briars and thistles mixed with tall grass. • It’s crazy something designed to mow brush can leave grass looking this nice. • This ground is really hard and has a lot of ruts but the air suspension seat on the 265 made for a smooth ride. • Also, we’ve been in a drought in our area- you can see how dusty it was, but absolutely no dust got inside the pressurized cab. • With the AC on and the music cranked-up, who knew mowing could be this much fun? ‪@hausplans‬ • #build #howto #heavyequipment #construction #diy #contractor #brushcutter
