Show guest Nikki hauled fellow Scot Sandra in front of the ITV judge to claim for her £1500 vets fees after her moggy Gizmo was left needing valium for anxiety and depression . Sandra couldn't keep a straight face as she tried to apologise. The pair had been on a trip with Nikki's partner John and a larger group, when Sandra's pooch Max was found to have mounted Gizmo. • Nikki said her pet was never the same after the incident, and felt her pal did not seem to care about the impact her randy dog had. • Moment randy Glasgow couple caught romping at window in flat above above Nice N Sleazy • She had been enjoying karaoke too much to show an interest in the immediate aftermath, and Nikki also felt she failed to show concern afterwards. • She insisted she should be recompensed for the expenses of the trip, and also her vet fees. A clip from yesterday's episode of Judge Rinder shows Sandra attempting to apologise - but failing to keep a straight face. Nikki admitted she was after an actual heartfelt apology from her former friend. Nikki and John were raging with Sandra's attitude • Sandra claimed nerves were behind her giggles • And Sandra said: I'm really, really sorry Nikki. I'm really, really, really sorry. • I didn't realise that it was... • But at this moment she bursts into a snigger and is unable to carry on with the apology. • John blasts: Why are you laughing. It's not a funny situation, you're supposed to be apologising. • .Turning to address the judge, she adds: That's what you're faced with, look sitting tittering as if it's funny. • I don't have my pet anymore, and I don't know how long I can carry on with vet bills. • Sandra tries again: Right, I'm sorry then. I'm really, really, really sorry. It's nerves that's making me laugh. After the cases are argued, Judge Rinder rules that Sandra should be liable for the vet bills, but not the holiday expenses. The friendship appears to be beyond repair after the botched apology, with Nikki still left fuming. The cameras show the pair confront each other outside the courtroom, and Sandra still appears to be making light of the situation • More On Judge Rinder: • Judge Rinder is a British arbitration-based reality court show that has been on air on ITV since 11 August 2014. The show depicts Robert Rinder as an arbitrator overseeing civil cases. Rob Rinder began his career in criminal law in 2003. He is a barrister and wears his barrister robes while on the show but does not wear the wig as is customary in the judiciary. Rinder is a practising criminal barrister at 2 Hare Court Chambers in London and this is made clear on the show.Any awards handed down by Rinder are paid by the production company rather than the loser. • The hearings are conducted in a studio styled as a courtroom, with entertainment styling including flags and a gavel, neither of which are used in UK courts. The robes worn by Rinder are regular barristers' robes without the wig and in England and Wales, most small claim trials are conducted in district judges' chambers. The show shares the same format as other television court shows, such as Judge Judy and Judge Mathis. • The claimant and defendant enter the courtroom separately, while announcer Charles Foster announces their names (unlike Judge Judy, where full names are used, the litigants are only identified by first names), along with details of the case and take their places at their respective benches: the claimant on the judge's left, and the defendant on the judge's right. Rinder then asks the claimant and defendant to confirm their names, and the case proceeds.[citation needed] The bailiff on the show is Michelle Hassan, who passes items of evidence (photographs, receipts, copies of text messages etc.) between the litigants and Judge Rinder during proceedings, which can be displayed on a large screen in the courtroom (with certain identifying information electronically blurred) when required. Hassan also brings a box of tissues or a glass of water to any litigant who should become distressed during the case, as well as escorting any additional witnesses into the courtroom, who give their evidence standing in a dock on the same side of the room where she stands and out of the courtroom again afterwards.
