2015.12.19, Close to 4 pm, this large Florida Black Bear crosses my path. I parked on Miler Rd and walked 0.4 miles east on 76th Ave SE to see this Bear. The strong winds this day were coming out of the east, and this Bear was walking south, so he might not have picked up my scent. This was my first time exploring in Picayune Strand. I specifically came here to get either a Bear and/or Panther video, so I was very happy with the accomplishment and the experience. October 24-30, 2015 was the first time in 21 years the Florida Black Bear was open to hunt. I would guess this Bear weighs 300-400 lbs? Visit: http://myfwc.com/viewing/recreation/w...
