In this example, Terron uses Live to audition different loops until he finds the right ones for his project. Then he records the loops into his Pro Tools session for arrangement and mixing. • While the Pro Tools Workspace Browser makes it easy to navigate your loop library, it only allows you to audition a single loop at a time. Using Ableton Live's Session view, you can audition multiple loops at a time, and switch between them on the fly while your Pro Tools project is playing. If you record and mix in Pro Tools, and also use lots of loops in your music, this is a great way to work. • By using ReWire to connect Ableton Live and Avid Pro Tools software, you're able to tap into the strengths of each program from the start of your project right through the finish.
