South Coast Model Railway Society Model Railway Exhibition for 2018. A return visit after my first visit last year and an enjoyable few hours spent watching and videoing the layouts and chatting to some of the operators. • Layouts featured are: • 00:46 Tarrant Valley Railway - 009 Gauge; 4mm/ft Scale - Wimborne Railway Society. Also seen at the Salisbury Exhibition. Based on the Tarrant Valley Railway in the 1920s/30s, which had a terminus in Spetisbury. • 04:02 Hampton South - 0 Gauge; 7mm/ft Scale - Dave D'Arcy. • Also seen at the Southampton Exhibition. A small Southern terminus near London in the 1960s. • 05:26 Somewhere in France - 009 Gauge. Based on military NG railways operating in France in WW1. • 06:19 Danbee - 0 Gauge. Based on small GWR country branch line in 1930s. • 08:50 Solent Summit - N Gauge; 2mm/ft Scale - Bob Norris (Gosport American Model Railway Club). Also seen at the Fordingbridge Exhibition. Modular American layout. • 13:47 Cornwallis Yard - EM Gauge - David Alison Barker. Also seen at the Southampton Exhibition. Fictional section of the GWR's Military Branch in Plymouth circa 1935. • 16:05 Winterley Junction - 00 Gauge, 4mm/ft Scale - John Shaw. Also seen at the Romsey Exhibition. Represents a GWR single line between two important towns, with Southern access. • 19:59 Reighton - EM Gauge - Pete Gary Nurse. Double track station and sidings set in the 1980s. Layout was for sale. • 20:51 Brockhampton - N Gauge; 2mm/ft Scale - New Forest Model Railway Society. Still under development. • 25:28 Ins 'N' Out - N Gauge; 2mm/ft Scale - East Dorset Area N Gauge Group. Also seen at the Dorset Fordingbridge Exhibitions. Interwoven figure of 8 with two stations. • 27:04 Badwick - 0 Gauge; 7mm/ft Scale. GWR Engine Shed based loosely at the one at Fishguard any time before 1947. • 27:53 Congleford - 00 Gauge; 4mm/ft. Surburban branch line in South East London around the year 2000.
