inov-8 X-Talon Ultra 260 V2 full in-depth review. After our first impressions video I was pretty impressed with the performance of inov-8's new X-Talon Ultra 260 V2, especially on wet, muddy trail conditions. With the deep 8mm lugs and a very aggressive outsole layout, it really did handle the muddy conditions extremely well - no loss of traction and I felt very confident on every foot strike. The one thing I wasn't sure about was when I picked up sections of rocky trail or hard tarmac. Obviously being a soft ground shoe, it's not really designed for these situations, but I would have liked just a little bit more cushioning and underfoot protection.
