I want to make something perfectly clear, Guitkit states, I have nose hairs which are white and sometimes when the camera is pointed just so they kinda look like boogers. They are not. I'm an old man. What can I say? • That aside, the extremely long episode presented this week revolves around Old Guitkit restoring a 1959/1960 turquoise burst Rosetti Solid Seven husk using only pictures from the internet as reference. February 2024 marks the 60th anniversary of the Beatles conquering the world, and it is in celebration of this fact we present this long undertaking. • Paul McCartney purchased a red burst model of the same instrument in 1960, which was his first electric guitar. It also served as his first bass. Quite an historic instrument. For over thirty years, McCartney has been peddling the myth that he was lumbered with the bass after Stu Sutcliffe left the Beatles. In this episode, Old Guitkit unequivocally PROVES that Macca actively sought out the bassist position, restringing his guitar as a bass and brazenly playing the bass lines as Sutcliffe posed wearing a pair of shades and a big bass strapped on on the side of the stage. That's how the west was won. • Guitkit updates the electronics by incorporating a jack whereas the original setup had a silly wire dangling out of the bottom. The end result is an impressive polished turd. • Meet old Guitkit and hear him introduce himself in his humble way here: • Guitkits Intro Video • Derelect Discography: • / the derelects - topic • • https://www.amazon.com/s?k=The+Derele... • https://open.spotify.com/artist/0lFr0... • https://music.apple.com/us/artist/the... • https://www.deezer.com/us/artist/1426... • Derelect Video Archive: • / @thederelects4683
