A center is a Poem about hope ba Ha Jin - #Shorts • The poem is a two stanza poem, each stanza has seven lines. The poet explores on the themes of disillusionment and taking ones stand. He brings to bear how disillusioned the opinion of others can make one feel. He advice the audience not to care if they are being called a maniac or a fool , let them wag their tongue, he also says if you are being praised on the contrary don't get too happy about it. He says one should not move if the earth and heaven quake. • Ha Jin gives two advice to his readers each at the beginning of each stanza that you must hold your quiet center, you must hold your distant center. That is your solitude and peace in your inner heart (center) is what matters the most eventually. He says if this can be in place then eventually you will find a world beginning to revolve around you.
