Dr. Govindjee, Professor Emeritus of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Plant Biology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, talks about his life and career with Dr. Donald Ort, Professor of Plant Biology at the same university and Associate Editor of the Annual Review of Plant Biology. Dr. Ort describes Dr. Govindjee as an icon of photosynthesis, and Dr. Govindjee discusses some of his most exciting discoveries on photosynthesis since he started investigating the matter with Robert Emerson in the 1950s.
