Official Oliver Lieb Youtube Channel • This is a really rare recording of one of my live set back then. • It was recorded in Club Grodoonia / Rümlang / Switzerland in 1995. • Due to the old tape there was a big amount of drop outs when importing so there are a lot of cuts unfortunately. • A lot of times I played multiple sets a night where I played one trance set with L.S.G., Paragliders, etc songs and another one more techno with Spicelab, The Ambush etc. • I had to put little sheets on the hardware sequencer where I was printing on there where what sound is playing. • For each of the sets I had different sheets and for the second set I had to put the first ones to the side as I put the second set on there first and then the first set on top. • Some funny situations happend when there was absolutely no light when I was supposed to start...or when the humidity caused the sticky tape to go off • Setup for this was Kawai Q 80 EX sequencer, Akai S1100 Sampler, an effects unit, Roland Juno 106, a small audio mixer on top of the sampler rack and a small midi keyboard for triggering samples. Especially helpful when I had to switch songs on the sequencer and adjust the playing tempo. Then I had to play a sound while I was stopping the sequencer and changing the settings to not have a longer pause between the tracks. • Getting the sounds in the S1100 with a DAT backup was as well an adventure sometimes. Especially in winter time when the small DAT player I had with me was cold and in the club it was hot and humid.
