Vellam: The Essential Drink is a 2021 Indian Malayalam-language film based on the real-life story of Murali intially a drunkard, from Kannur written and directed by Prajesh Sen.This is second joint venture of Jayasurya with Prajesh Sen after his award winning movie Captain. It stars Jayasurya, Samyuktha Menon and Sreelakshmi. The movie is released on 22nd of Jan 2021 in theaters. The movie is UA certified and Jayasurya said it is one of his best movies in the career.
