The series of videos about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) serves as an education tool to pique the curiosity of children from the ages of five to 12. The storylines raise awareness about some aspects of each Goal. As every video lasts about 30 seconds, this very simple approach is meant as a starting point to learn about the SDGs and should be followed by further teaching tools, for example, a SDG lesson plan. • This initiative was developed by UNIS Vienna intern Laura Kosanke. She found that existing videos dealt with all the SDGs at once instead of explaining each Goal separately. This makes it more difficult for children to understand each goal’s purpose. So Laura independently researched on the targets and indicators for each goal before she designed and animated the scenes herself. • Read more about the Sustainable Development Goals: http://www.unis.unvienna.org/unis/en/... • See more teaching materials on the SDGs and other topics: http://www.unis.unvienna.org/unis/en/...
