Did you know that Ukraine will be the first ever customer of the Boxer RCH 155. This is the amalgamation of the Boxer armoured fighting vehicle with the KMW Artillery Gun module or AGM. The 155milimetre gun is based on the technology, including the fire control system, of the PzH2000 self-propelled howitzer which is currently in use by Ukraine so will greatly assist with integration. So what makes this weapons system so special? Due to its autonomous nature, the gun is able to fire on the move, which makes it very hard to detect and combat, especially in this warzone controlled by drones. The boxer is also a lot faster and more manoeuvrable with its 8 wheel configuration allowing it to go pretty much anywhere at up to 62 miles per hour. Couple that the ability to fire an 8-round burst and redeploy in under 90 seconds, you have a real force multiplier that could prove pivotal for the Ukrainian army in this war of attrition.
