From March 10, 2023: From the look at the parking area, I'd say that the yellow perch run is in full swing. The last three times I have been over to Mattawoman Creek the lot has been packed. Today I squeezed my car in and found a spot along the bank and was able to catch a few yellow perch. Check out how I did it. • Tackle log: 4'6 ultralight Micro Series Rod by @ShakespeareFishingUS with a Profishency reel with 6# monofilament line tied to a 1/32 oz jig with a copper tube. • 7' @PENNfishing Squadron fast action rod with a @ShimanoNorthAmericaFishing size 500 reel with 10# braid and a homemade, hand tied jig. • Conditions: Overcast skies, air temperatures in the mid 40's, slight breeze and drizzle. • Keep the comments positive!
