Subsribe - @worldin2minutes • Description: • J1407b is an extrasolar planet located 433.8 light-years from Earth in the constellation of Centaurus. The University of Rochester, a New York institution, made the discovery of very young Sun-like star J1407 which has much larger and heavier ring system than Saturn in 2012. The ring system, according to a recent research led by Matthew Kenworthy of Leiden, is made up of over 30 rings, each of which has a diameter of tens of millions of kilometers. In the coming millions of years, when satellites are created from the material in the disks, astronomers predict that the rings will get thinner and finally disintegrate.
