The remote East Arnhem community of Galiwin’ku (Elcho Island) will enter a 7-day lockdown from 2pm this afternoon, while Yirrkala will enter lockdown for 72 hours. The lockdowns will apply to both vaccinated and unvaccinated, unlike a lockout. There are now 39 patients in NT hospitals, 25 are classified as acute.
