What do forensic science students and engineers have in common? At UC Davis, it's an effort to find clues at a crime scene through the blood stain patterns left behind. A joint research project has a team of students and an engineering professor analyzing blood droplets and patterns to determine the velocity of an impact, which could tell investigators if the weapon used was a gun ... a hammer .. or something else entirely.
