Their latest album New Moon is an exploration of what punk rock can do. These guys know how to rock out, but they are going to make you wait for it, seducing you into the record via folksy interludes that give off a bit of punk energy. Towards the middle of the record we hear a bit more visceral sound but these guys are always keyed into dynamics and tact in songwriting. While this record isn't full of hooks to suck down, it's one of those records with a deep sense of quality; each listen reveals a further layer to unpack and analyze. New Moon was a grower for us; it's one of those records that becomes a little more rewarding with each listen. • Jake's Track Picks: • 1. Open the Door • 2. Half Angel Half Light • 5. I Saw Her Face • 9. I See No One • Tom's Track Picks: • 2. Half Angel Half Light • 10. Birdsong • 12. Supermoon
