The ANC says a call for an early Conference has been overwhelmingly rejected by party structures. This came out as the governing party's National Executive Committee starts a meeting in Pretoria this afternoon. Some provinces like the Eastern Cape and Gauteng as well as the ANC Youth League have called for an early conference, with the SACP calling for a consultative conference.
