Fascia The Impact of Immobilization

Hey everyone, Dr. Kohen here. Let’s talk about how immobilization affects your fascia. When you stop moving, your fascia doesn’t get the stimulation it needs, leading to adhesions where the layers stick together. This restriction limits your movement and causes pain. Lack of movement also decreases blood flow, which means less oxygen and nutrients reach your fascia, and waste products build up. This combination makes the tissue stiff and inflexible, increasing the risk of pain and dysfunction. Many people think their muscles are tight, but it's often the fascia around the muscles that’s the problem. Staying active keeps your fascia healthy, prevents adhesions, and maintains flexibility. • #FRI #DrKohen #FasciaHealth #StayActive #PreventPain
