Stirling engine explained and animated

Changes made to hopefully improve things! • • I got the horizontal stirling engine running for the first time in the last video and have made a few changes last night • The first change is I have reduced the compression ratio from 1:2 to 1:1.5. I am hoping this will make it a more docile engine that will run on a lower temperature differential. I did this by changing the crank position bolt hole position and lengthening the conrod lengths • The second change is replacement of the non return valve with a modified plumbing fitting. I left the phase / crank angle at roughly 120 degrees. • I hope engine runs better than before! I don't have any power measuring device hooked up yet but will sort this out when I've got the engine to the point it's running very well. • I'm happy to report the engine did run much better than before!
