Neato D7 fixing WIFI and Power Errors How to update firmware manually

Preparation • 1. Otp usb micro (for old smartphone) cable • 2. 8g-32g memory usb Formatted 'default allocation size' • 3. Download the firmware file. tgz • https://www.dropbox.com/s/68zjvoaroq0... • 4. Place the 4.5.3 tgz file in RobotData folder. It must be the only folder on the disk • Factory reset is done. • First Step - Factory reset your neato • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds to Power down • remove the dust cover • While hold pressing the Left/Front bumper, press once power button to turn it on • after 10 seconds, let the bumper go. • After some minutes, neato will boot again. Factory reset. • Second Step - Firmware Update • Connect OTG cable and USB memory(copied the tgz file) to neato. • Your Neato must be connected to its charging base. • After some minutes, neato will be off and boot again. • Done • If your neato doesn't be turned off, it means it failed. do it again with another USB. • I've tried these two USB sticks and succeeded with one of them. I think it might be a black Kingston USB, but this video was recorded with silver SanDisk. • I think other D3,D4,D5,D6 might be similar.
