In this tutorial I'd like to explain how to use just one V-Ray Dome Light and and HDR file to emit light in the scene. • This way produces very soft shadows by default but I can increase the detail through a texture managed by a specific kind of map: the VRayHDRI. With this map it is possible to load external 32-bit files in .hdr and .exr formats. • I am also introducing Real HDR beta version (https://www.real-hdr.com) as a smart and quick way to generate High Dynamic Range, 32-bit, linear color files. • Once defined the axis of the space surrounding my 3D model I start painting with light, tuning more and more my 3D scene open in 3ds Max and rendered with V-Ray rendering engine. • the great power of real HDR is that the generated files are compatible with any rendering engine that supports .exr files to simulate (and simplify) the environment. • Hope you enjoy this software and my accent ;) • Thanks to www.taketones.com for the background music
