A Boston heatwave had inspired him to evoke a wintry mood. The percussion section helps him achieve it. Listen for sleigh bells, horse-hooves on a cobble-stone lane, and the crack of a whip. Four years later, with Anderson's approval Mitchell Parish added lyrics. Whether performed orchestrally or as a pop song, the piece remains a crowd-pleaser. Feel free to hum along!
