Our TWELVE year old made Ariana Grandes Iconic Grammy Dress

It has been months in the making and we are just so proud of McKenna for recreating Ariana Grande's Iconic dress from the Grammy's. She's just 12 years old, but she has been sewing, on her Brother sewing machine, since she was 5 years old, making sleeping bags for her American Girl dolls. Even at a young age, she was also very careful about using the machine and with Brother's awesome settings and functionalities, it made it easy for her to learn. Fast forward just a few years and at the age of 12 she recreated this dress all by herself. She came up with the idea one day and started sketching out a drawing. She then estimated how much tulle she needed (we learned later that it would take many bolts to achieve that level of fluff and glamour! But, she did all of it on her own and took the initiative to learn a few new techniques along the way. The end result just blew us away! • She took it another step further and made a miniature version for her LOL surprise OMG doll too. • You can see how we completely celebrated her project by throwing a Grammy Party at home.
