Curie's Law • According to this law, magnetic susceptibility of a material is inversely proportional to the absolute temperature of the material. • It has been experimentally discovered by Curie that the intensity of magnetisation of the magnetic material is (i) directly proportional to the applied magnetic field and (ii) inversely proportional to the absolute temperature of the material. • This law tells us that the magnetic material gets magnetised easily if its temperature is low. • Curie Temperature • The temperature at which a certain magnetic materials undergo a sharp change in their magnetic properties is called Curie temperature.
