WHAT I FORGOT TO SAY DURING MY REACTION is that the WHOLE song we don't have a chord progression except for the bridge. Well, the bass switches between notes at times, but it's so low and sooo back in the mix, it's barely giving us any melodic support at all. We've got no melodic instrumentals except for the sax. Which is why it doesn't feel like there's much variation between sections, because the low tonic drone never changes. Someone asked me why this song is so addicting, and I think it's because the melody and energy is coming from the vocals (we have no other melody going on except for back up vocals and harmonies). Sure, the percussion samples and sax riff propels us forward, but the real power is constantly coming from the vocal line. So that might be why it's so addicting ^^ • Watch Really Bad Boy here: • Red Velvet 레드벨벳 'RBB (Really Bad Boy)... • Reactors' social media: • Umu: • Instagram: @_emcha_ • Twitter: @reacttothek • Tumblr: attack-on-dango, reacttothek, omg-horns, kpop-favs • Isaac: • Instagram:@Isaac.jr.li • Upcoming reactions from Kevin or Fiona or Isaac Umu (will be published in no particular order): • EXO DMUMT first listen, ZionT ZZZ first listen, NCT 127 Chain/Welcome to my playground, MAMAMOO BLUE;S first listen, Red Velvet Really Bad Boy first listen, Yuri TFS first listen, DreamNote Dream Note, Choi Yoonhwa Love is as Deep as the Blue Sky, Jennie Solo, Hyangani Obey Disorder, and Wanna One Spring Breeze.
