WATCH Durban thieves give up after relentless pursuit by security officers

Two suspected thieves were arrested by Marshall Security after they tried to steal a vehicle from Musgrave Road in Berea, Durban. • According to KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Colonel Thembeka Mbele, the owner spotted the suspects attempting to steal his vehicle and screamed for help before calling for help via a community WhatsApp group last Friday. • A statement by the security company said the officers were alerted via a voice note and given details of the suspects as well a description of their vehicle. • The suspects were spotted in the Greyville area and a pursuit ensued before they attempted to abandon their vehicle near the Greyville Racecourse. • KwaZulu-Natal police have confirmed that two of the suspects were arrested by private security officers. • Charges of attempted theft of a motor vehicle are currently being investigated by Berea police. • • Subscribe to News24: / news24video
