Crystal Caves Donkey Kong 64 HD Reorchestration

I reorchestrated this several years ago on one of my old YouTube channels, but I decided it was time to revisit it now that I'm finally working with high-quality orchestral sample libraries instead of MIDI and Soundfonts like I had with the old one. This piece, alongside Banana Fairy Island (which I also reorchestrated: • Banana Fairy Island from DK64 | Video... ), Mermaid Palace (which I reorchestrated years ago with old software and would also like to revisit soon: • Mermaid's Palace from Donkey Kong 64 ... ) and Troff n Scoff, have stuck with me ever since first playing DK64 as a kid, they are just surprisingly strikingly beautiful pieces of music for a video game like DK64, and I love that Grant Kirkhope didn't hold back. • Back then and even in recent years, Grant has struck me as being heavily inspired by Danny Elfman ( Mermaid Palace is very similar to Elfman's amazing Ice Dance piece from Edward Scissorhands, also his score for Reckoning: Kingdom's of Amalur is very Elfmanian), which I love, and so whenever I do these reorchestrations of Grant's music I will sometimes lean into that if I can. • I hope that I did this reorchestration some justice and I hope you enjoyed it!
