Kyle - Why can't you hold your brace during bench reps? Is your coach on you for not getting enough leg drive? Let us help you by exploring a very unique band drill during the bench press. If we set up good in a global arch, brace well, root the feet, and then finishing our IAP with a big breath; we accomplish a few goals. • Reducing the ROM of the bar • Setting the shoulder in a better position • Getting more consistent leg drive • Now doing this with mindful practice leads to good results and your set up will look better. However, most athletes lose this pressure right before the bar descends and/or during reps.
