In this video I use Mackenzie Harrison's Barbados Brown Velvet Worm care sheet as a reference to set up a vivarium for these Epiperipatus barbadensis. As explained, these animals are in the Phylum Onychophora and are sometimes called Peripatus, but the term velvet worm has gained general favor as we've all watched these secretive and unique animals featured in one nature documentary after another. • Unlike the New Zealand velvet worms that entered the hobby off and on that past 20 years, this species from the island nation Barbados are more tropical and don't require wine coolers to survive outside of their natural habitat.
