Without this sign a mini roundabout might not be visible on approach, so watch out for the signs. • Approach mini roundabouts in the same way you would approach any other roundabout. Use the MSPSL (Mirrors Signal Position Speed Look) routine in the correct way, depending on the exit you wish to take. • When exiting a mini roundabout there might not be enough time to signal your intentions to leave. This would definitely be the case when turning right at a mini roundabout. Therefore you do not have to signal to leave a mini roundabout. • I teach my students to signal if you have time, which helps other people understand where you are going. • You must pass round the central markings on a mini roundabout unless it is physically impossible to do so. Watch out for drivers of large vehicles, who may not be able to go round the markings or may need to swing out to take a sharp left or right turn at a mini roundabout. • Avoid doing U-turns at mini roundabouts as there is not a lot of room to perform a U-turn. Watch out for other drivers doing U-turns. • Multiple Mini Roundabouts • Some junctions have multiple mini roundabouts next to each other. Treat each roundabout as a separate roundabout. You may need to stop on one of the roundabouts to give way to the traffic on the next roundabout.
