By showing a 80x80x15mm sized axial compact fan running at up to 6500rpm he shows that the small fan can deliver a high air performance n a restricted space. • Compact fans are available as axial fans in sizes ranging from 20mm up to 172mm in size. This includes mixed-flow fans, especially the larger sizes. Centrifugal compact fans are typically used where high static pressures are required in the application. Cross-flow fans are used when air across the laminar length of the impeller should be delivered. • Compact fans are typically available with DC and AC supply voltages. DC fans are available between 5 to 48V and are typically used for electronics cooling and telecommunications applications. • AC compact fans are used in broader applications from refrigeration and ventilation.
