Today's NSF Live will hear from members of NASA JPL's SWOT team... who will discuss the mission, its groundbreaking technology, and the unique partnerships with both the French space agency Centre National d’Études Spatiales (CNES) and SpaceX that helped make the mission a success. • Today's show is hosted by Summer Ash and John Galloway. • ----------------------------------------- • GUEST BIOS: • Margaret Srinivasan, Deputy Program Associate for SWOT Applications at NASA JPL • Margaret Srinivasan is in the Applied Science Systems Engineering group at NASA JPL and is the SWOT Deputy Program Associate (DPA) for Applications, and the Applications Lead for the Sentinel 6 Michael Freilich mission. In these roles, she focuses on user engagement for practical applications and societal benefit. She also manages the JPL Center for Climate Sciences. She has a BS degree in Geophysics from the University of Texas Austin, and an MS degree in Environmental Sciences and Policy from Johns Hopkins University. • • Ben Hamlington, Research Scientist for Sea Level Change at NASA JPL • Dr. Ben Hamlington is a Research Scientist in the Sea Level and Ice Group at NASA JPL. He studies the ocean with a particular focus on sea level variability on interannual to decadal timescales. He is interested in how sea level responds to both natural and anthropogenic forcing, and what this will mean for coastal populations both now and in the future.
