Add hot water and mix to form a shaggy dough. Knead the dough until smooth and supple. Roll into small golf ball-sized balls. Add balls to a pot of boiling water. Boil 3-4 minutes or until they float. Strain the dango and cool in a bowl of cold water. Skewer 3 balls per skewer. Top with anko paste.
