They are extremely lightweight at 1lb 7oz and are supportive and comfortable right out of the box. The best part, my feet don’t hurt after a full day of hiking with a backpack loaded with overnight gear. • The Gore-Tex Extended Comfort waterproof membrane will keep your feet dry. They breathe well (my feet get unbearably hot), the traction is fantastic in rough terrain, and the mid-height will protect your ankles. • The Ultra Raptor II comes in regular and wide widths, and although I don’t have particularly wide feet, I went with the wide version as sometimes I wear thicker socks. There is a men’s version too, and my husband is happy with his (I talked him into trying a pair). The wide version fits my husband’s wide feet. We also found the sizing to be true to size. • At over $200, these boots are a bit pricey, however, comfort, fit, and performance are important to me! Happy feet make hiking and backpacking much more enjoyable so IMO worth the investment.
