Hello everyone! today's video is a special experiment. in this video I decided to try and melt magnesium without it catching fire. it is no small feat to achieve this as magnesium starts to burn (auto-ignite) almost 200°c before it melts. normally melting magnesium requires special equipment to ensure that the magnesium is not exposed to oxygen, carbon dioxide or nitrogen. in my experiment the magnesium was able to melt due to a lack of oxygen inside the flame cone of the weed burner.
