In this learn QuickBooks training tutorial, you will learn how to activate billable expenses. This is done in the preferences window. The checkbox in the write checks window for customer / job will be checked by default and billable to the client by default unless you change this setting as an option in the QuickBooks Preferences window. You can also choose to track reimbursable expenses as income. TChanging this billing default will make the expenses that we bill to the clients show up as income instead of removing the expense when it is marked as billable. You must edit any expense that the client is billed for that you get reimburses and want to track as income.
