Willy was born in Krakow, Poland in 1923. • After the war started, he was forced into unpaid labour by the Nazis. • When the Jews were forced into a ghetto, Willy's family moved to Myslenice where his grandmother lived. By 1942 Willy was sent to work in a nearby labour camp. Soon after, the rest of his family was murdered in Belzec extermination camp. • Willy was sent to other camps where he worked hard and was brutalised by the guards, before arriving in Auschwitz.
