In 1998, Sara Blakely, frustrated that she couldn't find the proper foundation garment to wear under her cream-colored slacks, cut the feet off of a pair of pantyhose. Through determination and spunk, she received a patent for her invention, convinced a hosiery manufacturer to collaborate with her, and today sells an array of women's foundation garments and clothing through her company, Spanx, Inc. Blakely's story and SPANX products have been featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show, CNN, Forbes, E!, and Glamour -- to Vogue, People, InStyle, The New York Times, Vanity Fair, WWD and USA Today. Sara has been named Ernst Young's Southeast Regional Entrepreneur of the Year and Georgia's Woman of the Year. Book Sara Blakely at Speakers.com. http://www.speakers.com/Sara-Blakely-...
