Hi everyone! • My most recent historical project is an 1840s dress, heavily inspired by a fashion plate at the Victoria and Albert museum. My first step in construction was so assemble the required undergarments: a corset, a corded petticoat and a tucked petticoat. I am attempting to film the whole process of this dress to make a little 1840s series. • I unfortunately did not film the process of making the corset, but I will have a blog post about it up soon. (link below!) The next video will be the tucked petticoat! • P.S This was my first voice-over so please excuse the awkwardness! • If you are interested in seeing some more of my work, here are some links: • Instagram: / katisintheb. . • Blog: https://happilyevertaffeta.wordpress.com • Facebook: / catscostumery • Music is Allegro Giusto by Dee-Yan Key, freely available online.
