We give you, the Zoomingames Community Game of the Year Top 5! • Honorable mentions go to the following games that just missed the top 5: • Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 • Mass Effect 3 • Dishonored • Hitman Absolution • Guild Wars 2 • 5. Borderlands 2 • They promised us more guns but Gearbox Software gave us more than just that. Borderlands 2 had better missions, a more fleshed out world, and a gripping story. All these elements made the game loads and loads of fun! Borderlands 2 rightfully earns the fifth place on this Game of the Year list. • 4. The Walking Dead • Some critics have called The Walking Dead a big Quick Time Event instead of an actual game. You guys clearly don't agree as you have given this amazing download title the number four spot on the list. Choice, emotion and terror are all important pillars in the episodic series by Telltale. The Walking Dead not only reinvents the point and click adventure but also proves that video games CAN tell good stories. • 3. Halo 4 • When you guys found out 343 Industries didn't mess up Halo 4, you cheered. To be honest so did we when we saw that Halo 4 won the number three position in this top 5. We liked the way in which 343 tries to humanize the characters in this bombastic space opera. The new Halo also adds cool new multiplayer options to the already solid foundation of earlier games in the series. We can't wait to find out what the future has in store for John 117. • 2. Far Cry 3 • Far Cry 3 is definitely one of the biggest surprises this year. This remarkable shooter combines open world gameplay with an insane storyline and beautiful graphics. You are totally free to do what ever you want on a tropical island while the game still manages to guide you through a thrilling story. Drug criminals, wild animals and tribes are good for the second place in this top 5. • 1. Assassin's Creed 3 • Assassin's Creed 3 is our Community Game of the Year. You guys received Connor Kenway with open arms as the game got the most votes in our poll. Assassin's Creed 3 starts slow but when the story finally gets going you wish you could stay in the Animus forever. AC3 introduces awesome new gameplay elements, ranging from hunting animals, to cool new weapons and epic naval warfare.
