Are you interested in finding out more about cryptographic techniques and the way they are applied in ASCLEPIOS to create a secure and privacy-preserving framework for the storage and analysis of healthcare data? • In the fourth and final issue of the ASCLEPIOS Encryption Series, we dive into Secure Multi-Party Computation (SMC). A special case of SMC called Privacy-Preserving Distributed Statistical Computation (PPDSC), leverages the fact that a large number of statistical analyses can be decomposed into sub-computations. Each sub-computation can be computed as a secure operation with a subset of the available data, and then the results can be summed together to find the overall result. And this is how different parties can jointly compute a function over their data while keeping them private. • Attributions: • Icons made by Freepik (www.flaticon.com/authors/freepik) and Smashicons (www.flaticon.com/authors/smashicons) from Flaticon (www.flaticon.com) • Animated gifs from icons8 (https://icons8.com/) • Background vector created by rawpixel.com / Freepic (www.freepik.com/vectors/background) • Music «Buddy» from Bensound.com (www.bensound.com/royalty-free-music)
