He was born in Bad Oldesloe, in the north of Germany. In 2013 Weiss auditioned for the 10th season of the German version of 'Idol' called Deutschland sucht den Superstar . He became one of the top 29 contestants but failed to reach the live shows. In 2015 German DJ's 'Gestört aber GeiL' produced a remix of his acoustic cover 'Unter meiner Haut', an original song by Elif that Weiss uploaded to YouTube. The song reached the Top 10 of the German Single Charts and peaked at #6. • Before he signed his record deal Weiss was a model and a waiter and walked for Versace in 2016. In the same year Weiss released a single called 'Musik Sein' (Be Music) which reached the Charts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, peaking at #8 in Austria, #10 in Switzerland and #27 in Germany. In 2017 he released his debut studio album 'Irgendwas gegen die Stille' (Something against the silence) and peaked at #3 in the German album charts, #4 in Switzerland and #14 in Austria. The album was certified platinum in Germany and Switzerland. He was part of the 2017 German jury for the Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv. Later that year he won the award for 'Best German act' at the MTV Europe Music Awards. • In 2018 Weiss won the award for the now defunct Echo-Award in Germany as 'Best Newcomer'. The same month he released the 1st single 'An Wunder' (In Miracles) from his next studio album which was released in 2019. 'Irgendwie anders' (Somehow different) peaked at #2 in Germany and Switzerland and #8 in Austria. It has been certified Gold in his homecountry. Later that year he was part of the 6th season of 'Sing meinen Song - Das Tauschkonzert'. • His new album 'Vielleicht irgendwann' (Maybe sometime) is planned to be released May 7th, 2021.
