When you look under the hood of modern-day Churches of Christ, the misteaching of Acts 2:38 is the first thing you’ll see. This is one of their phony salvation pillars which has been replicated by other cults who all deny salvation by grace through faith and insert other conditions to what it takes to be saved. Mormonism, Jehovah's Witnesses, Seventh-day Adventism, Christadelphianism, Oneness Pentecostalism, International Church of Christ, and the International Christian Church all teach something very close to this heresy. • Having failed to prove that baptism is necessary for salvation from a theological avenue, the Church of Christ and their ill-bred cousins coming out of the Restoration Movement founded by Thomas and Alexander Campbell, look to grammar instead. Consequently, nine out of ten restorationist cults are wrong on the Greek meaning of “eis” in Acts 2:38 and the tenth one is lying. You’ve been bamboozled folks! This is their shell-pea game that has fooled tens of millions of people and destroyed their lives spiritually. The majority of Greek scholarship does not agree with the Church of Christ viewpoint. This will be proven with clarity and diverse scholarship. • My goal here in this mini-series is to replace these lies with biblical truth so that this demonic roadblock can be seen for what it is. We'll continue to debunk some of the sophisticated arguments piped out by the heretical Churches of Christ. May the Holy Spirit enlighten you to the true grace of God in the authentic person of Jesus Christ and enable you to repent of Campbellite inspired Restorationism in whatever form it takes. As Christians, we believe that baptism does not save (1 Cor. 1:14-17), the gospel saves, Ro. 1:16. Baptism is not the instrumental cause of salvation, Ro. 4:5. • WARNING: The following three videos could convict you and even convert you! Stop trusting in the waters of a baptistry and put your faith in the blood of Jesus alone. The Bible says that water baptism is a work of righteousness (Mt. 3:15) and that salvation is not of works, Tit. 3:5, Eph. 2:8-9. • Franklin’s website: https://www.sparrowministry.com • See author bio and book series on the International Church of Christ at https://www.amazon.com/author/joefran... • Don’t forget to subscribe to this channel for more updates. • Sources further reading: Dr. Mark Strauss, Vice-Chair of the NIV Study Bible Committee and an expert Bible translator; Matt Slick of CARM.org and https://carm.org/baptism-and-acts-238; John MacArthur, Grace to You: “Does Baptism Save You?” at https://www.gty.org/library/blog/B160... also, The MacArthur New Testament Commentary, and B.
