How to debounce a button for Arduino

When you press a button hooked up to your breadboard and your Arduino you would think that it would register one press...right? Well you might be surrpised to learn that because of the mechanical nature of the sqitch and the fact that it is made up springy metalic contacts that one press can register as many as 50 changes of state. It's called bouncing. • So what do you do about it? Well you de-bounce the switch of course.
