Demonstration of the incoming call ringer bell of this black 706-type telephone dating from 1967, and made by Plessey at Ilford, Essex. • Although connected to a VoIP BT Digital Voice telephone line these days, an in-line converter allows the pulse dialling method to be changed to modern tone dialling, allowing the vintage handset to be operated in the digital age.
