Massive Wave Slams Ferry

During a recent filming trip for the Nature Walks with Mark Fraser show (http://www.naturewalkswithmark.org ) a routine ferry trip across Lake Champlain suddenly took a dangerous turn when a massive wind driven wave slammed the bow of the ferry. I was gathering footage for a future 2 part film called Exploring the Depths of Lake Champlain . I have taken this ferry many times in the past and have certainly had a few big waves but never one that rocked the vessel like this. I was in a pickup truck and I could feel the truck slide several inches as the wave slammed the ferry!
